Compile time
I thought I had seen the last of software installs that involved compiling the code, until I decided (foolishly?) to do a CPAN update of my Strawberry Perl so I could get Padre 0.92 running…
Three hours later and it’s still compiling.
OK, so some of that time was on account of me missing the prompts (“do you wish to continue? [y]”) that pop up now and then, and which means I can’t leave the machine even for a minute. But really, hours?
Some things never change, it would seem.
